


Travel Itinerary
While attending our wedding is the main reason for the trip, we hope you take the chance to explore Italy along the way. Here is a suggested 10-day journey from Florence to Pienza, the Cinque Terre and Rome — feel free to adapt it however suits you best.


Day 1
Arrival in Florence

Arrival at Florence Airport (FLR) or Pisa Airport (PSA)

Private transfer to your hotel in the historic centre

Afternoon free to explore the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio and Piazza della Signoria

Dinner at Trattoria Zà Zà — the bride’s favourite restaurant in Florence. She highly recommends the truffled carbonara (carbonara tartufata)!
Accommodation: 4* hotel in central Florence (e.g. Hotel Brunelleschi, NH Collection or a charming Airbnb)

Day 2
Florence Immersive

Morning: Visit the Uffizi Gallery (book tickets in advance)

Afternoon: Palazzo Pitti & Boboli Gardens or walk up to Piazzale Michelangelo for a magical sunset

Evening: Tuscan dinner with Chianti wine



Day 3
Florence → Pienza (Tuscany)

Morning: Pick up rental car or private transfer (approx. 1h40)

Check-in in Pienza or nearby (Montepulciano / Montalcino) in the Val d’Orcia

Afternoon: Stroll through the historic centre of Pienza — a UNESCO World Heritage gem and one of the most romantic villages in Tuscany

Evening: Welcome dinner or rehearsal dinner
Accommodation: Boutique hotel or agriturismo in Pienza (e.g. Relais Il Chiostro di Pienza)

Day 4
Our Wedding in Pienza ❤️

Beautiful ceremony in Pienza or the surrounding countryside

Magical reception with stunning views over the Val d’Orcia hills



Day 5
Val d’Orcia Post-Wedding Relaxation

Relaxed day exploring the most beautiful villages: Montalcino (Brunello wine tasting), Bagno Vignoni (thermal square), San Quirico d’Orcia and the iconic cypress tree landscapes

Sunset at one of the most photogenic viewpoints in Italy

Day 6
Pienza → Cinque Terre

Transfer or train via Florence (total approx. 3h30–4h)

Arrival in Vernazza or Manarola (the most picturesque villages)

Afternoon: Walk the Via dell’Amore (if open) or easy coastal paths

Evening: Seafood dinner with Ligurian sea views
Accommodation: Hotel or apartment with sea view in Vernazza, Manarola or Riomaggiore



Day 7
Exploring Cinque Terre

Boat or train between the five colourful villages: Riomaggiore → Manarola → Corniglia → Vernazza → Monterosso

Beaches, gelato, swimming and postcard-perfect photos

Optional: Hiking trails and picnic

Day 8
Cinque Terre → Rome

High-speed train (approx. 4–5 hours)

Afternoon arrival in Rome

Free time: Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain (don’t forget to toss a coin!)
Accommodation: Central hotel (e.g. near the Pantheon, Trastevere or Colosseum area)



Day 9
Classic Rome

Morning: Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill (guided tour recommended)

Afternoon: Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel (or a more relaxed walk through Piazza Navona and the Pantheon)

Evening: Authentic Roman dinner (carbonara, cacio e pepe or amatriciana)

Day 10
Rome & Departure

Morning free for shopping or a stroll in Trastevere

Private transfer to Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO)
